- Introduction to Linux OS and terminal
- File system hierarchy and basic commands (ls, cd, cp, mv, rm)
- File permissions and management
- Writing and executing shell scripts
- Variables, conditionals, loops, and functions in bash
- Text processing with grep, awk, sed
- Combining commands with pipes and redirection
- Batch processing of sequence files (FASTA, FASTQ)
- Scheduling jobs with cron
